Interactive platform companies are poised to take over from traditional media outlets, and they’re going to do so with aplomb.
According to a new study, the number of interactive publishers on the Google Play Store in the first quarter of 2017 jumped from 16,800 to 27,600.
The study was done by market researcher NPD Group and noted that “digital publishing is on track to overtake print as the primary source of news in the coming years.”
In the meantime, more and more platforms are starting to use the digital medium to get their content across.
As such, there’s an opportunity to make a big splash with interactive content on a platform, and it’s not too late for a company to get going.
